Measuring Type

All designers should now be thinking about the environment way before they press print. Design duo Tom Wigglesworth and Matt Robinson did just that with their project Measuring Type. Simply by looking at the most commonly used typefaces at the same point size and finding out how much ink it takes to print them. Being designers they did this beautifully by drawing out large scale renditions of the typefaces with ballpoint pens, allowing the remaining ink levels to display the ink efficiency of each typeface. Brilliantly executed and thought provoking, and a thoroughly inspiring piece of work.
