The Lorax by Dr Seuus

In 1971 Ted Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) wrote the children's book 'The Lorax' .

The story is set in a beautiful forest of Truffula trees the book tells the story of  a greedy entrepreneur who chops down the trees to use the foliage to knit a 'kneed'

despite warnings from the tree-loving Lorax, ( he speaks for the trees, as the trees have no tongues )

strips a forest of its stock of Truffula trees to manufacture clothing. The results are catastrophic as all the animals leave and nothing's left.

Universal has teamed up with Illumination Entertainment to adapt the Dr. Seuss book,  The Lorax, into a 3D CGI animated feature. The movie is scheduled for release on March 2nd, 2012, which is the 108th birthday of Dr. Seuss, who died in 1991.
